From Tatysite:

The trial between Elena Kiper and Ivan Shapovalov is at a draw at the moment.

The trial concerning the cancellation of the contract between Netformat and Lena Kiper took place on the 11th of September, at Timiryzevskiy People Law Court. We remind you that Lena decided to claim her copyrights to the songs Ya Soshla S Uma (All The Things She Said) and Nas Ne Dogonyat (Not Gonna Get Us) from Netformat. Neither Miss Kiper nor Mr. Shapovalov appeared at the Court though. The lawyer Alexey Shulga (representing Ms Kiper), on his way from the Court made the following comment: “Because of the fact that the respondent intentionally avoided receiving the notification for the Court attendance, the Court decided to notify the respondent about the necessity of his presence once again. The date for the new hearing is set for 24th. If the respondent does not attend the next hearing the lawsuit will go on without participation of the latter.” Mr. Shulga added that the material from the press conference published in Gazeta, with the comments of the director of Netformat Serguey Bobza, has been filed for the trial examination. This material makes it clear that Mr. Bobza is well informed about the trial matter. “It means that Netformat is simply trying to win some time to cause Miss Kiper to withdraw her claims,” added Evgueny Nichipuruk, Ms. Kiper’s PR manager.

The comments made by Mr. Bobza in the Gazeta contain a hidden message of threat towards Lena that if she’ll continue pressing charges – she may have problems with her artistic material, particularly with her hit Nichya.

From Tatysite:

Tatu gives a sign to attend the press conference.

Tatu's press conference will take place on September 15th in Moscow. The place is still being kept undisclosed whilst the time is now known.

Besides this, Netformat has given a few hints to the journalists accredited for the press conference. The representatives of Netformat will wait for the journalists at 20:00 in the lobby of the Pekin Hotel. From there, the journalists will be shown to the actual place for the conference.

In answer to the question of how the journalists will recognize the representatives of Netformat, InterMedia’s PR manager, Alexandra Titianko, said that the latter ones would try to somehow mark themselves, for instance by holding a set of Russian music annual catalogues published by InterMedia.

Accreditation information: 299-4950/5689, 8-903-545-3375 (Alexandra Titianko).
