Vitaliy Mansky will tell and show all the truth about t.A.T.u.
The famous TV journalist (and chief of the Documentary Directors Board of the TV channel Russia) Vitaly Mansky, who had made documentaries about Michael Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin and Vladimir Putin, and is a winner of many international awards, is completing his new picture about the unwritten laws of show business. The main focus of which will be the Tatu group.
Vitaly revealed this information in his interview with the Latvian newspaper Telegraph: “Now, I am finishing a film about the laws of show-business. Tatu seemed like the best choice for demonstration. Everything with them is so obviously thought of, molded out, that I became interested in showing all this obviousness is in existence. I followed them all over the world, even in Latvia for Eurovision. I have gathered a lot of material, which in its harshness and censorial lack of self-control, is not acceptable for any of the Russian channels. But I really don’t want to cut this material (such as bad language, episodes concerned with the use of narcotics, etc.) because that will change the structure of the movie. And the fact that I am free and don’t owe anything to anybody, helped me a lot."

Hmm, I have to be honest; I have very mixed feelings about this!
On the one hand, it’s great that we get to see footage of Yulia and Lena “real and un-cut!” so to speak. I think that seeing them in this light will be truly fascinating, like the early video’s of them in Russia!
And yet, I’m also worried, worried because it seems to me that Mr. Mansky is actually aiming to “expose” Tatu in some way, and I fear this could indeed be very negative! Of course, there isn’t anything to expose, but a lot can happen in the editing room. And even the most positive footage can be shown in a negative fashion. I’m hoping it isn’t, I’m hoping it’s real in the same way that those early video’s from Russia are real!
But you know, the media is indeed a very powerful thing! And whilst no Tatu fan will ever judge Yulia and Lena based upon such a biased ‘documentary’, it is nonetheless true that negative publicity, no matter how false, can be an extremely damaging and hurtful thing!
After all, I’m from the UK, and because of the way the media (in general, there are a few exceptions!) has treated them, it’s almost sacrilege amongst certain social groups to admit you’re a Tatu fan these days! Which is just an example of how ignorance, fear and prejudice can corrupt people, of course.
But it doesn’t change the fact that the media, irrespective of how evil and wrong they are, have had a hugely destructive effect on Tatu in the UK!
A good example is when you try to talk to people about Tatu… they almost never want to talk about the music itself, or the character of Yulia and Lena! All they’re interested in is their age at the time of the groups formation, the question as to whether they’re lesbians or not, etc.!
All very dull, stupid, and depressing questions of course, which are in many respects irrelevant!
But the media doesn’t see it that way, and there are many people who walk on two legs but are in fact sheep… Sorry to complain, but I only mention it because I fear a similar situation could arise elsewhere, and this ‘movie’ could be the perfect catalyst…
I really hope I’m wrong though! I hope that in the future I’m going to sit at my desk and laugh at my comments, embarrassed by my own cynicism and paranoia! Strange as it sounds, in this specific case, I would like to be incorrect! But there’s something about what Mr. Mansky said, something about his choice of words, that makes me feel a little uneasy…
So, anyway, let’s all hope that this is a good, honest, balanced documentary, and not one that’s specifically designed to show Tatu in a negative light! In other words, just this once, let’s all hope I’m wrong! ^_^

Tatu is on a well-deserved vacation.
The two members of the scandalous duo Tatu; Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova decided to spend the last week of September on vacation. The girls, who are almost never apart agreed that they’d spend this time separate from one another: each one in the company of their own relatives.
The trips were obtained through different traveling agencies, but it turned out that the girls chose one and the same place for their trips anyway – Kemer, Turkey, as Zhizn (Russian newspaper) reports. Both Lena and Yulia were very surprised by such a coincidence as they continued to compare the data in their respective traveling documents. To their greatest joy, the 5-star hotels booked by Yulia and Lena were located in different parts of Kemer.
Theoretically the girls can meet and socialize with each other during their vacation but there’s hardly any chance that they’ll use this option.
”I’m going there not to socialize and rehearse but to have a vacation - and the main thing is to get some rest”, declared Lena.
The girls are staying in Turkey until September 26th. Lena and Yulia talked their parents into staying at home, as was the case with both the bodyguards and any other personnel. But when it comes to money, the girls have no lack of such a thing and so therefore can relax and forget for a moment all the hard times of their celebrity life.

Atreu Cell comment: Hmm, that’s nice to hear! They’ve both been so ill lately, that they need a break, I think! But just a few days? Weird, but then, lately their holidays seem to always be like that!
As for them going on holiday separately… I think there’s something really cool about the fact that they both chose the same place… out of the whole world! Heheh! I guess, some people are just destined to be together! ^_^
Still, spending time away from someone can be beneficial, I suppose, especially when you see that person 24/7!
I just hope they both come back from they’re little trip feeling 100%!!!

From TatySite: The trial session between Ms. Kiper and Mr. Shapovalov is postponed again.
The hearing regarding the cancellation of the contract between Lena Kiper and Netformat took place on September 24th in Timiryzevskiy People Law Court. In contrast to the previous hearing, Netformat was represented this time by its head Seguey Bobza. The hearing lasted for two hours. At the end the responder requested the invitation to the session of the third party (second) license holders, the representatives of the companies Pervoye Muzikalnoe Izdatelstvo and EMI. The session is scheduled for October 17th.

Intriguing, that the third party license holders have been requested as participants in the next hearing! Could it be that Lena Kiper is willing to delegate the rights of her songs to the third party license holders, in exchange for a tidy sum? I hope so!
That would be great news, as it would mean that Tatu’s (current) albums would remain unaffected!
Oh, and I hope they (Pervoye Muzikalnoe Izdatelstvo and EMI ) pay up promptly, too! ^_^
