CHAPTER 5:

Lena poked her head into her house from a small opening in the door. "Anyone home!!!!" She yelled, her voice bouncing off the walls of the empty house. No reply. Lena smiled opening the door all the way. She ran inside, pulling Yulia in with her by the hand. Both of the girls dropped their bags on the floor and quietly walked over to the couch in the living room of Lena's house. The both sat, 2 feet between them, in complete silence.

"Is there anyone here?" Yulia asked.

"Nope." Lena replied simply. Yulia turned her head and looked at Lena. A small smile formed at the corner of her lips. Suddenly, she pounced on top of Lena and they started making out furiously like there was no tomorrow. Yulia climbed on Lena, straddling the older girl and forcing her to lay on her back on the large couch. Lena instinctivley placed her hands on Yulia's hips, occasionally running one up her back and trailing her nail back down to her hips. Yulia had her fingers deeply imbedded in Lena's thick red curls, pulling her closer and closer to her. Yulia softly bit down on Lena's bottom lip, running her teeth across her skin. A seductive smile crossed Yulia's face when she heard Lena whimper.

"I didn't hurt you did I?" She asked softly into Lena's ear.

"N-n-no" Lena stuttered. Yulia brought her lip's over Lena's once more pulling back before any contact was made. Yulia smiled; she liked playing games. She leaned down and ran her tongue across Lena's lips. Lena almost jumped up, trying to taste Yulia's lips once more. Then, as if it couldn't come at a worse time, the phone rang! Lena's sat up in shock, sending Yulia flying to the floor.

"Holy shit!" Lena yelled. She heard Yulia hit the floor with a thud and let out a painful groan. "Yulia!!!" She screamed, almost falling of the couch to the side of her friend. She sat her up and reached for the reciever of the phone at the same time. "Oh my God, Yul, I'm so sorry, the phone, it scared me!" Lena said hurriedly.

"I'm ok, I'm all right, nothing hurt." Yulia assured her, rubbing her lower back.

"Hello?" Lena asked, clicking the phone on, "Sasha? Sasha! Oh, uh, er, hi!"

"Sasha?" Yulia mouthed softly to Lena. Lena nodded.

"Lena, have you talked to Yulia at all today? I've been calling her all day and she hasn't picked up, her mom just said she wen't out." Sasha asked.

"Well, acctually, she's right here next to me." Lena replied.

"She's at your house?" Sasha asked almost in disbelief.

"Yeah,"

"Oh...okay, you wouldn't mind if I asked her something, would you?"

"No, here she is." Lena answered, handing Yulia the phone, "She wants to ask you something."

"Da?" Yulia asked.

"You're at her house!?" Sasha asked.

"That's where I would be." Yulia said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, which, in a way, it was.

"Well, make sure you give me details when you get home." Sasha said with a laugh.

"No problem, Sash."

"I'll let you guys get back to whatever you were doing."

"See ya." Yulia said before clicking the cordless phone off and placing it back on the reciever for Lena.

"What did she ask?" Lena questioned.

"If I was really at your house." Yulia laughed.

"Are you ok? I didn't mean to give you flying lessons before, the phone startled me." Lena said, helping Yulia to her feet.

"It's no problem, I may be small but I'm not made of glass. Besides, I'm sure we can arrange ways that you can re-pay me." Yulia said with a gleam of mischief in her eye.

"Geez, Yul, you have the sex drive of a horny chipmunk on viagra." Lena commented, falling back onto her couch and bringing Yulia down with her so she was sitting in her lap.

"True, and understatement, but true." Yulia said with a grin.

"Yulia, Yulia, Yulia, what am I going to do with you? Eh, Votenok?" Lena asked, holding the smaller girl against her.

"Better question, what would you do without me?" Yulia asked back, lacing her fingers with Lena's.

"You're going to leave me! Oh no, but we've only just begun!" Lena exclaimed dramaticaly. Yulia smiled and turned around so she was facing Lena.

"Never, I will never leave you." Yulia assured her. For a moment she looked past Lena to take a glance at the clock. It was already 20.00.

"Damnit, I need to go home. Ooooh, but I wanna stay!!!" Yulia whined like a 5 year old. She stood up and began walking to the door.

"I should go," She said, before spinning around and beginning to walk back, "But I wanna stay! No, no, I should go, no stay! No, go..." Yulia said repeatedly walking towards the door and walking back, then changing her mind and heading towards the door. Over and over and over again. Lena stood up from the couch and watched her friend pace back and forth between the door and the living room. Yulia stood facing the door.

"I should, my parents are gonna be pissed." She said softly. Then she spun around and ran back to Lena, jumping on top of her and wrapping her legs around her waist to keep herself up.

"But I wanna staaaaaaay!" She cried into Lena's shoulder.

"Then stay." Lena said simply, "Stay the night." Yulia looked up at her with a questioning glance.

"Really?" She asked.

"Sure, why not." Lena replied. Yulia hugged Lena tighter.

"Oh yay!!!" She yelped, dropping off Lena's hip, "I just gotta get my stuff from my house."

"Let's go then," Lena said with a smile, grabbing her coat and walking to the door.

*AT YULIA'S HOUSE*

"Mommy! I'm hooooome!" Yulia announced, kicking open her front door. Yulia's mother peered around the wall seperating the kitchen and the hallway and smiled at her daughter.

"Hi Yul, who's your friend?" Mrs. Volkova asked from the kitchen. Yulia skipped into the house, pulling Lena along by the hand. She stepped into the kitchen and kissed her mother on the cheek before introducing Lena.

"Mom, this is Lena; Lena this is my Mom." Yulia said.

"Nice to meet you, Lena." Mrs. Volkova greeted Lena, shaking her hand. Lena smiled.

"You too, Mrs. Volkova."

"Well, I'm gonna stay at Lena's tonight, so I'm gonna get my stuff and I'll see you tomorrow." Yulia explained, turning and leaving the kitchen with Lena in tow before her mother could say anything. The two girls ran upstairs and threw themselves into Yulia's room, locking the door behind them. Yulia immediatley dove onto her bed and laid back, staring at her ceiling, while Lena sat politely on the edge. Yulia cocked her head and looked at her friend who sat quietly. She grinned mischeviously and grabbed Lena around the waist, pulling her back on top of her. Lena laughed and began tickling Yulia's side. Yulia suddenly pulled back, trying to escape Lena's tickling.

"I didn't know you were so ticklish." Lena said, trying hard to get her friend.

"Now you do, stop before you kill me!" Yulia squirmed uncontrollabley. Lena smiled and stopped, sitting next to Yulia.

"Come to think of it, we don't know much about each other." Lena remarked.

"Pow-wow at your house when we get back. We can learn everything about each other!" Yulia said, throwing her hands in the air and resting her head on Lena's knees.

"Sounds like a party, let's get going then."

"All right," Yulia agreed, popping up off the bed and skipping to her closet. She seemed to be skipping a lot today; she was in a very good mood, to say the least.

*BACK AT LENA'S*

Yulia and Lena sat in the middle of the floor on Lena's room, right across from each other. Yulia grinned like a gargoyle, crossing her legs and staring into Lena's eyes. Lena smiled and decided she'd begin.

"Ok wha-" She's was soon interrupted though.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Yulia exclaimed, turning around and reaching into her bag.

"What?" Lena asked, very confused. Yulia turned around and flicked open the top of her lighter. She ignited the flame and placed it on the floor between them.

"What's that?" Lena asked. Yulia flashed a huge grin.

"It's our 'camp fire'. You've gotta have a camp fire at a pow-wow! Geez, Lena, don't you know anything?" She asked sarcasticaly.

"A camp fire." Lena said, dumbfounded. Yulia nodded yes, her grin never leaving her face.

"Ok, whatever, any who, so, what do you wanna know first?" Lena went on. Yulia thought for a second.

"When's your birthday?" She finally came to.

"October fourth." Lena replied, "Yours?"

"February 20th."

They went on for a while, exchanging information about each other, getting to know each other better. But Yulia's ever present flirtatious side took over, and she ended up pouncing on Lena, knocking over her lighter on the way.

"Yul..." Lena stammered in between kisses that were being showered all over her face.

"Hm?" Yulia mumbled.

"Yul...Yuli..."

"What?" Yulia asked, pulling back a bit and little perplexed.

"The lighter, Yul." Lena finally said. Yulia jumped up and looked at the ground where her lighter lay on it's side, blown out.

"Oh thank God it didn't burn the carpet!" Yulia exclaimed.

"Or the whole house down." Lena added with a smile.

"That too!" Yulia shut her lighter and tossed it at her bag, then took her place back on top of Lena again.

"Now, back to what we were doing." Yulia said seductivley.

"Ah yes, let's continue..."

*LATER THAT NIGHT*

Yulia lay across frm Lena in the guestbed, only about 5 inches away from Lena's bed. Both girls lay awake, staring into each others eyes by the dim light cast by the moon into Lena's room.

"Lena...are you scared?" Yulia piped up.

"Scared of what?" Lena questioned.

"Of them...what they'll think...of us." Yulia said hesitantley.

Lena thought about that for a moment. She liked the sound of that. 'Us.' She repeated to herself in her mind, and smiled.

"Not anymore." She said simply. A very simple answer that held so much more in it's meaning. Yulia smiled and pushed herself up out of her bed. Hoping over to Lena's and wrapping herself in the older girls embrace, they fell asleep.
